RICKY GREENING grabbed the winning goal as the Scarborough and District League representative side beat their York Minster Engineering League counterparts 3-2.
A chip by Greening settled matters after York had twice forged ahead in the clash at Pickering Town’s Mill Lane ground.
Danny Fogg has opened the scoring when he followed up a free-kick from former York City midfielder Darren Dunning that was parried into his path.
But man-of-the-match Shaun Dodson levelled the scores when he fired powerfully in from the edge of the box following a poor pass in the York half.
Matty Pallister, who impressed most for York, went on to net a second-half header, teed up again by Dunning, before Liam Cooper claimed a second equaliser and Greening secured victory for the Seadogs.
The Ernie Fairclough Memorial Trophy was presented to the winners by Pickering Town chairman Keith Usher.
