TADCASTER Albion maintained their three point lead at the top of the Northern Counties East League premier division with a 2-0 home victory over Garforth Town.

The Brewers, watched by a crowd of 398, left it until the second half to stamp their authority on the game, with George Bissett breaking the deadlock in the 67th minute.

Striker Carl Stewart sealed the win with a headed second goal on 82 minutes, while second-placed Shaw Lane Aquaforce kept pace with a 5-0 win over Retford United.

Selby Town were forced to settle for a point from their division one trip to Teversal.

The Robins led through Rich Williams’ 11th minute opener, but Aiden Harris hit back for the hosts on 22 minutes.

Knaresborough Town lost 2-1 at home to AFC Mansfield, after Liam Gray had opened the scoring for the hosts on 21 minutes.

Mansfield’s second half goals came from Dean Rick, with a 55th-minute penalty, and a Carl Haslam strike two minutes later.

Harrogate Town ended a run of poor form with a 5-0 victory over Brackley Town in Conference North.

Striker James Walshaw netted a first half hat-trick and there were also two goals for former York City winger Craig Nelthorpe.

Walshaw started the rout on six minutes and Nelthorpe got the second on 22 minutes before Walshaw completed his treble with goals on 29 and 40 minutes.

Nelthorpe rounded off the scoring with a goal six minutes from time as Harrogate moved up to 14th in the table.

Harrogate Railway Athletic hit back from 3-2 down to beat visitors Droylsden 4-3 in Evo-Stik League division one north.

Ciaran Kilheeney gave Droyldsen a 19th minute lead, but Nathan Cartman levelled within a minute and Alex Frost put through his own net on 27 minutes as the hosts went 2-1 up.

Goals from Benjamin Deegan and Kilheeney made it 3-2 to the visitors, but Cartman equalised on 69 minutes and Malachi Farquharson hit the winner nine minutes from time.

Ten-man Scarborough Athletic drew 3-3 at New Mills in an amazing division one north game, which saw the hosts grab a late equaliser from the penalty spot.

New Mills led 2-0 at half-time, but Jimmy Beadle pulled a goal back early in the second period and Gary Bradshaw levelled.

Beadle appeared to have sealed the points with a contentious penalty, but the former York City player was sent off for handling in the area and New Mills secured a point.
