SELBY TOWN boss Dave Ricardo believes an injury crisis shouldn't stand in the way of his men getting a result at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic in Northern Counties East League division one tomorrow.

The Robins chief will be without Joel Evans, Ryan Robinson, Matty Start, Danny Bunch and Greg Archer for the trip to Barnsley but, on the back of impressive cup victories over Ossett Albion in the West Riding County Cup and Bacup & Rossendale Borough in the FA Vase, he believes he still has enough experience in his squad to return with three points.

Cup involvement has seen Selby drop to 17th in the league, with games in hand on their rivals, and Ricardo reckons the key to rising up the ladder is to improve the club's inconsistent away form.

They have picked up just one win in five road trips.

"We think we are in a false position and it would be good to carry on the cup form," he said. "We have beaten two higher division sides teams in the past week - quite easily - and we have got to take that into the league.

"Once we do, we will start moving. Those cup wins should give us loads of confidence but we have to improve our away form, which has been poor. It is up to players and management to put that right.

"Worsbrough will be a good side. All their games are competitive. We have had to call up a couple of the under-19s but we have got enough experience and quality in the first 11 to not have a problem if we are on our game."

Elsewhere, Knaresborough travel to Wath in NCEL division one while Harrogate Town go to Worcester City in Conference North. Neighbours Harrogate Railway are at Kendal in Evo-Stik League first division north and, in the same league, Scarborough Athletic host Ossett Town.
