Division one leaders Aviva extended their unbeaten away run to nine games as they beat Haxby United 5-1 in the York Minster Engineering Football League.

The insurance side scored four times in the first half through Lee Downham (2), Tom Shirley and Neil Richardson before Adam Humphries added their fifth late in the game.

Dale Waddington replied for Haxby with a penalty.

Malton & Norton suffered their first defeat in 20 games as they went down 4-1 at home to second-placed St Clement’s.

All the goals came in the first half, with Dale Lumley scoring a hat-trick and Chris Rowan completing the Saints scoring. Marcus Godsell replied. Hemingbrough were 5-0 winners at Total Sports United.

They led by an Andy Davis goal at the interval, but ran riot in the second period and increased their lead with goals from Guy May (2) and Tom Collins, plus another Davis effort.
