COPMANTHORPE won the HPH York Vale Cricket League first division title on the final Saturday of the season from Stockton & Hopgrove.
Stockton gained a maximum 30 points from their home win against Hemingbrough, while Cop, who had a two-point lead at the top of the table, took 28 points from their victory against Wheldrake.
That left the sides level at the top with 421 points, Cop taking the silverware by virtue of winning more games than Stockton, who were left to rue a tied game against relegated Ben Johnson in the penultimate week of the season.
