Hemingbrough seal top York Vale Cricket League title

9:59am Monday 30th August 2010

HEMINGBROUGH lifted the HPH York Vale Cricket League division one title on Saturday with victory against last year’s champions University of York Staff.

It means Hemingbrough have completed the double as they won the HPH Cup earlier in the month.

Ben Johnson’s win against Melbourne saw them promoted from division two. Victory at Fulfordgate next week will see the York-based printers win the division.

The following have won their respective divisions – Hirst Courtney (division three), Malton & Old Malton (division four) and Burn II (division five).

Clubs are reminded that the final matches of the season next week, Saturday, September 4, start at 1.30pm.
