OVINGTON continued their push for the HPH York Vale Cricket League division one title with an emphatic win over Burn.

Tom Cookson (56no) and Tom Armes (30no) saw Ovington home inside 14 overs for the loss of one wicket.

Chris Gartland included a double wicket maiden in his 5-23 as Bishopthorpe were bowled out for 127. Acomb were then reduced to 24-5 and, despite a counter-attacking innings by Gartland (43), lost by 41 runs.
