DESPITE an aggressive century from Australian ace Dan Wilson, York Cricket Club's Bank Holiday was spoiled by a last-gasp defeat at Hull YPI.
The Clifton Parkers were hoping to complete a win double after their 135-run annihilation of hosts Appleby-Frodingham on Saturday maintained their 100 per cent start to the defence of their Oxbridge Yorkshire ECB County Premier League crown.
An inspired Wilson pounded his way to a ton to help York to a worthy 254-5 total.
But the visitors then found their Hull foes to be in even greater run-gathering form. Needing five off the last ball to win and four to draw, they hammered a decisive points-grabbing six.
