IT was a good day for the top three in the Hunters ECB Yorkshire Premier League North as they all collected maximum points, but defending champions Harrogate slipped to fifth, level on points with Sheriff Hutton Bridge.

At the other end of the table, there was no let up for Easingwold as they were dismissed for just 35.

Leaders Stamford Bridge were always in control at The Green, where they bowled out Acomb, who had been 25-5 at one stage, for 89, with Luke Robinson finishing with 5-25 from ten overs.

Aiden Burton and Chris Gartland, batting at eight and ten respectively, were their side's joint top scorers with 21.

The visitors took just 15 overs to reach their target and secure a ninth straight win, with Stuart Boyle scoring 27 and Will Rhodes an unbeaten 37.

Yorkshire Academy remain second after they won at Hull by 58 runs.

The visitors were in trouble at 39-3 when Jordan Thompson (61no) joined opener Bilal Anjum (50), a stand of 63 getting the innings back on track, and, despite three wickets each from Steven Sergeant (3-39) and Fergus Wilkinson (3-52), they went on to reach 216-9.

Three wickets early on from Thompson (3-11), including Andrew Simpson for 31, hampered the hosts' chances of a successful chase and, despite an unbeaten 41 late on from Matthew Wilkinson, the visitors were always in control, James Logan finishing with 4-32.

York kept up the pressure on their title rivals by recording a nine-wicket win over title rivals Harrogate at Shipton Road.

Kallen Bond top scored with 31 as the visitors went from 61-2 to 112 all out, Tom Friend finishing with 5-45 and Daniel Woods 3-28.

Duncan Snell (51no), with his fourth consecutive Premier League half-century, and Matthew Waite (47no) then shared a second-wicket stand of 97 to seal victory with more than 30 overs to spare.

Openers Louis Foxton (50) and Mark Fisher (101) put on 121 for Sheriff Hutton Bridge in their match against Clifton Alliance.

Three bowlers shone for the home side – Scott Hopkinson (3-82), Sam Grant (3-62) and Dave Friend (3-77) – but none were immune from punishment as the visitors reached an imposing 277-9.

Freddie Collins, on his way to match figures of 4-48, took the first three Alliance wickets to fall and, despite resistance from Greg Drewery (46) and Scott Hopkinson (31), the visitors ran out winners by 94 runs to climb to fourth in the table.

Bottom side Easingwold were bowled out for the competition's lowest total of 35 as Jamie Hopper (6-21) and Ollie Ezard (3-12) combined to devastating effect at Back Lane.

The home side's total fell well short of the previous record of 64, which Castleford made against Harrogate last year.

Visitors Driffield Town coasted to their target without losing a wicket, Afaq Raheem finishing 29 not out to wrap up his side's fifth victory in a row.

In the day's closest finish, Scarborough ended a four-game winless run with a 13-run victory at North Marine Road over Woodhouse Grange.

The home side were indebted to former captain Ben Elvidge, who made 82 out of 188-7, while Josh Jackson, who took 4-33 last time the sides met, was again in the wickets, this time taking 3-52.

The visitors' reply was spearheaded by Michael Hattee (58) and Chris Bilton (37).

Bradley Scott picked up three wickets for the home side and, despite Steve Burdett making an unbeaten 28 towards the close, Grange had to be content with four points.
