HARROGATE were pushed all the way by relegation-threatened Dunnington at St George's Road.

The Hunters ECB Yorkshire Premier League North leaders scraped home with their last pair at the crease. The hosts finished on 200-9 as Dave Brent (3-44) and Steve Liburd (4-60) threatened to cause one of the season's biggest upsets.

Matthew Good (36) and Dion Sanson (30) had given the home side the perfect start as they looked to chase down the visitors' 197, but when George Ross (47) was sixth out, the nerves set in before Yorkshire's Ben Coad saw them over the line with a timely 18 not out.

Earlier, Liburd had made 42, but it took a partnership of 67 between Mubtada Akhtar (59) and Jake Murphy (29) to rescue the visitors from 87-4 as Harry Stow (3-47) and Ross (4-40) shared seven wickets.

Second-placed York enjoyed a much more comfortable afternoon as they won at Hull by 118 runs.

A repeat of the four-wicket defeat they suffered when the teams met in May never looked on the cards once the visitors had posted an imposing 278-8.

Opener Duncan Snell (91) shared partnerships of 72 with Joe Ashdown (32) and 85 with Liam McKendry (43) as the visitors compiled their highest total of the season, Chris Booth (44) and Ryan McKendry (39) also contributing while Jahangir Alam emerged with 5-91.

Skipper Chris Grey (42) led the reply but, despite all of the top order making starts, none were able to go on as Tom Pringle took 4-32 and Dan Woods (3-49).

Benjamin Ainsley (62no) and Mosun Hussain (54no) shared an unbroken stand of 119 as Yorkshire Academy kept up the pressure on the top two with a nine-wicket win at Acomb.

Jack Shutt took 5-32 as the home side were bowled out for 118, despite 37 from Mathew Dale and 32 from Tom Neal, with Jordan Thompson taking 3-12 from six overs.

Driffield Town made it three wins in a row, and in doing so avenged their loss to Sheriff Hutton Bridge earlier in the season, winning at Moor Farm by six wickets.

Robert Pinder (43) and captain Adam Fisher (63) took the batting honours for the hosts, who were bowled out in their final over for 201, Alec Drury (4-66) again being in the wickets, with Jamie Hopper taking 3-33.

Opener George Drury made 43 before Ali Asad, passing fifty for the seventh time this season, finished on 65 not out, seeing his side home with just six balls to spare thanks to a partnership of 54 with Tom Norman (26no).

Woodhouse Grange took a giant step to securing their Premier League status with victory over bottom side Castleford at Savile Park.

David Wainwright (3-54) took the first three Grange wickets but runs at the top of the order from Andrew Bilton (46) and Scott Shepherd (31), and 30 late on from Chris Suddaby, helped the visitors post 196-8.

That proved well beyond the home side, with only Wainwright (36) making more than 30 before he was one of three wickets for Suddaby (3-16), who was well supported by Josh Jackson, who, despite finishing wicketless, conceded just 34 runs in his 16 overs.

There was also success for another of the sides just outside the relegation places as Scarborough recorded their first victory from three attempts in a high-scoring contest at North Marine Road.

Hosts skipper Ben Elvidge turned in a fine all-round performance, the first part of which saw him take 3-29 as the visitors scored 231-8, thanks to a half-century from Dominic Rhodes (51) and 44 from Donovan Sinclair.

Darren Harland (46) and James Pick (76) replied with a stand of 86 before Elvidge sealed the points with an unbeaten 61.
