THIRD-PLACED Sheriff Hutton Bridge will be looking for a derby victory over York this weekend to maintain pressure on the top two in the Hunters ECB Yorkshire Premier League North.

The leading pair - Harrogate and Yorkshire Academy - are just one point better off in the table and, significantly, they will go head-to-head tomorrow at St George's Road.

York, who are fourth in the table, inflicted an impressive seven-wicket defeat on Driffield Town last weekend and opening batsman Duncan Snell will want to build on his innings of 79 not out that was instrumental in the result.

Fifth-placed Stamford Bridge are away at Acomb while, at the lower end of the table, Woodhouse Grange visit Scarborough.

Struggling Dunnington, rock bottom with only five points, make the journey east to play Hull.

Meanwhile, leaders Easingwold visit second-placed Studley Royal in the Hunters York and District Senior League premier division.

There are now 15 points separating these two clubs after Studley slipped up against Pickering and Easingwold secured an eight-wicket win at Heworth last weekend.

Third-placed Clifton Alliance host fourth-placed Sessay this weekend while York II entertain Pickering.

Heworth, who are now 63 points adrift at the bottom of the table, will be seeking an improvement in fortunes against Beverley Town.

Bolton Percy, meanwhile, are in action at Driffield Town II.

In division one, the gap between second-placed Malton & Old Malton and leaders Whitkirk, who meet this weekend, is now 42 points.

Bottom side Osbaldwick visit Selby. Pocklington, who are just four points better off in the table, travel to Hornsea.

In Ebor division two, third-placed York III will be looking to bounce back from last weekend's defeat against leaders Carlton Towers when they host Hemingbrough.

Acomb II will aim to take advantage of the troubles that Malton & Old Malton II are still going through. Pickering II host Scarborough, Heworth II travel to Londesborough Park while Dringhouses entertain Clifton Alliance II.

Division three leaders Stamford Bridge II entertain third-placed Whitkirk II in a key clash

In division four, Heworth IV need points at Carlton Towers II as they look to climb the table.

The stand-out game in Galtres division two this weekend is likely to be third-placed Woodhouse Grange II's meeting with leaders Ripon.

Woodhouse Grange III visit leaders Stillington in division three.

Second plays third in division four as New Earswick II host Copmanthorpe II.
