THE rain ruined a finely balanced run-chase as York and Harrogate took three points apiece from their St George’s Road clash in the Solly Sports Yorkshire ECB County Premier Cricket League.
Hosts Harrogate won the toss and totalled 256-9 from 48 overs, and they leaders were on 51-2 from 11 overs when the weather closed in.
Spinner Tom Pringle claimed 5-55 as Harrogate compiled a challenging total, with Calum How hitting 69 and fellow opener Alexis Twigg 65 to lead the way. Dan Woods took 2-60 and Jack Leaning claimed the other wicket to fall.
York sent in Liam McKendry and Oli Hairs to open the innings, with regular first pair Leaning and Duncan Snell dropping down to three and four.
Hairs went for 14 off eight balls and Leaning fell for ten before a halt was called.
