TEA UPDATE: Yorkshire have lost three wickets during the afternoon session at Scarborough, but their LV= County Championship clash with Hampshire looks to be heading towards a draw.
At tea on the final day they have reached 169-3.
It means they are only seven runs behind the visitors’ first-innings total and a 5pm handshake between the two captains to seal the stalemate looks very likely at North Marine Road.
If the Tykes had not lost some cheap wickets during the afternoon session then the game would definitely be heading towards a draw though.
Adam Lyth was the first to go, for 44, when he dabbed a short Dominic Cork ball to Jimmy Adams at short fine-leg, before Jacques Rudolph, for 54, and Anthony McGrath, for 20, also lost their wickets with rash shots.
Captain Andrew Gale, who is on 15 not out, and York-based Jonathan Bairstow, who is unbeaten on 17, have made sure that Hampshire have not had anymore success though.
