YORKSHIRE’S hopes of bouncing back from Saturday’s NatWest T20 Blast defeat to Derbyshire at the first attempt were dashed by the weather in Northampton last night.

The Vikings had to settle for a point against the defending champions as rain forced an abandonment at 6.50pm.

Yorkshire now have three points from their first three matches this season having won and lost their first two matches, including at Chesterfield on Saturday.

Their next assignment comes against Roses rivals Lancashire at Emirates Old Trafford on Friday night.

It will be played in front of a 19,500 sell out, the biggest ever Blast attendance outside of London. Yorkshire have lost their last two away Roses T20 matches.
