GARY Ballance has revealed that he is likely to trust the England and Wales Cricket Board's security advice and tour Bangladesh next month if selected.

The Yorkshire batsman says he is yet to make a final decision and will discuss a difficult situation with his family.

Yet he looks set to be a part of England's early winter trip for two tour matches followed by two Tests, starting on October 14.

The ECB have opted to go ahead with the tour after a security review, prompted by the deaths of 20 hostages in a Dhaka cafe in July.

The two Test matches Ballance could be involved in take place in Chittagong and Dhaka.

He said: "I haven't made a 100 per cent decision yet but I have had e-mails and have listened to Reg Dickason (head of security) from the ECB. I've had e-mails from Andrew Strauss (director of cricket), all that kind of stuff.

"I'm still speaking to family and parents but my first thought would be 'I'd go with what the ECB, PCA (Professional Cricketers' Association) and security guys have to say and back their call if selected'.

"I still wouldn't 100 per cent confirm it yet because you can't make these decisions overnight.

"I wasn't down with the one-day lads who had their meeting about a week ago, so I haven't had a full briefing yet. I'm still waiting for that.

"I'll chat to family members over the next few days and make a decision."

Ballance has not been given a timeframe for making a decision by the ECB. After Bangladesh, England will tour India for five Tests in November and December.

"They're tough places to tour, the sub-continent, and I'd love to tour there with the main sides," said Ballance.

"The guys did well in India a few years ago and got that series win. It was an unbelievable achievement. Hopefully I can get picked and be part of that."
