A FOUR-wicket morning has put Yorkshire on the verge of a second Specsavers County Championship win of the season at Headingley.
Roses rivals Lancashire began day four on 41-1 chasing 349, but slipped to 98-5 as the impressive Tim Bresnan struck twice.
Lancashire have since reached lunch at 121-5 from 56 overs, with Karl Brown and Liam Livingstone in the early stages of their innings.
Spin duo Adil Rashid and Adam Lyth, forced into the attack early this morning due to fading light, started the visitors’ rot with a wicket apiece in the space of four balls.
Rashid had Haseeb Hameed caught behind cutting before Lyth had Luke Procter caught at slip, leaving the score at 55-3 in the 32nd over.
Bresnan then bowled Steven Croft off the inside edge as he attempted to shoulder arms in the 38th over before trapping Alviro Petersen lbw in the 46th.
