THERE was no play in the afternoon session of the second day of the Specsavers County Championship Division One game between Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire at Trent Bridge.
The rain which set in over the luncheon interval only relented briefly and, although the umpires made a brief inspection, the covers were not removed.
When Yorkshire eventually resume, they will do so on a score of 122-4, with Alex Lees on 69 not out and skipper Andrew Gale unbeaten on six.
This is in reply to Nottinghamshire’s first-innings score of 261.
At 3.45pm, the umpires began their second inspection.
