OLD Malton St Mary's maintained their seven-point lead at the top of the York Minster Engineering Football League premier division table with a 6-0 win over bottom placed Easingwold Town.

Striker Tom Fenwick opened the scoring midway through the first half with a finish across the keeper into the bottom corner.

Ten minutes later, a poor clearance from the keeper was played first time by Richard Dunning to Dean Nuttall, who raced away from the back line and hammered the ball into the far corner.

The floodgates were now open as Dunning was the provider again as Fenwick added his second goal before Steve Baxter got in on the act making it 4-0.

Nuttall was then played through and easily beat the exposed keeper for number five before half-time.

After the break, Easingwold's keeper denied Fenwick, Baxter and substitute Danny Fogg, with Simon Cooke and Nuttall also going close.

RUN: Dunnington’s Calum Richardson takes on the Osbaldwick defence

Old Malton's only reward in the second period came from another poor clearance from the keeper, who was punished as Fogg returned it first time into the unguarded net.

Dunnington also took maximum points from their clash with Osbaldwick.

A brace from Grant Bulmer and goals from Robert Chipps and Tom Richards gave the hosts a 4-0 half-time lead.

Tom Wheatland struck for Osso after 55 minutes, but the last word went to Olly Newby as his goal sealed a convincing 5-1 win for second-placed Dunnington.

Third-placed Riccall United survived a scare after they trailed Copmanthorpe 3-1 at half-time, with the home side's goals coming from John Patrick (2) and Robin Bedford.

Despite Matt Pallister adding a fourth for Cop in the second period, Riccall scored five more of their own to gain a 6-4 success.

Wayne Brook hit a hat-trick to lead the scoring for United, with Chris Coxon adding two and Ian Beckram notching their sixth.

Wigginton Grasshoppers moved back up to fifth after an 8-0 triumph at York RI.

Jamie Green volleyed home after seven minutes and Tom Coates doubled Grasshoppers' lead ten minutes later.

Green converted Jordan Holt's flick on for his second after 37 minutes and Eddy Clapham converted a penalty on the stroke of half-time to make it 4-0.

After the break, Jamie Willstrop raced onto a Steve Jarvis cross to add a fifth before Josh Luckhurst notched a hat-trick in the last 20 minutes to complete the scoring.

Poppleton United remain three wins adrift of safety after they suffered a 6-2 setback at Dringhouses.

Elliot Frodsham, Wilson Briggs and Cameron Mulhearn combined to give the home side a 3-0 advantage at the interval.

Despite two goals from Poppy in the second half, Houses were far superior and struck three more with Liam Robertson adding to their tally before Briggs netted twice to complete his hat-trick.

A seven-goal thriller between Church Fenton White Horse and Terrington Glory went the way of the hosts after a barnstorming game.

Adam Fisher and Tom Paley put Terrington in command after 20 minutes, only to see their lead cancelled out by strikes from Rory McCrae and Lenny Mason.

Johnny Brown restored Glory's lead just before the break, but John Langrick made it 3-3 shortly after the interval.

Chances followed at both ends, but it was Church Fenton's day as John Marshall popped up late on to net the deciding goal.
