DOWNCAST Selby Town manager Dave Ricardo is hoping a tipping-point has been reached by his charges, writes Tony Kelly.

The midweek 1-1 share-all at home to Dronfield prompted the Robins’ boss to rubbish the performance and pledge to initiate changes for tomorrow’s Northern Counties East League division one game at home to Hemsworth Miners Welfare.

“I was bitterly disappointed with Tuesday’s result and when we conceded an equaliser with virtually the last kick of the game it was our worst performance of the last three matches,” said Ricardo.

“Even though we lost the previous two matches, at least we played well, but we did not against Dronfield. We never really matched up.”

Several players, who missed the dismal draw, will be back for tomorrow including Jamie Forrester, in-form marksman Matty Start and Chris Jackson.

“There will be changes as I am wanting a big improvement,” added Ricardo.

Knaresborough Town, who are in 12th place, travel to Shirebrook aiming to close the gap on hosts who are two positions and five points better off.

In the Evo-Stik League first division north, Harrogate Railway Athletic host New Mills while Scarborough Athletic travel to Lancaster City.

Cup action, meanwhile, occupies Harrogate Town, who also go west to FC United of Manchester in the opening round of the FA Trophy.
