Woodhouse Grange Cricket Club plot treble

Having reached the finals of the Yorkshire Tea National Village
Cup and the Hunters Premier League Cup, Woodhouse Grange Cricket Club will be trying for a hat-trick of cup final appearances on Sunday.


That’s when the Sutton-upon-Derwent club play in the semi-final of the Black Sheep Yorkshire Champions Trophy, which is only open only to the winners of the eight most senior cricket leagues in Yorkshire.
Woodhouse Grange are eligible
as 2011 Champions of the Hunters York & District Senior League.


Their semi-final opponents will be Whitley Hall from Sheffield,
current holders of the Black Sheep Trophy and a redoubtable force
in the South Yorkshire League.


Their line-up will include a number of players with Yorkshire Academy backgrounds and they are sure to be tough opponents.


The 50 overs a side match will be played at Sutton-upon-Derwent, starting at 1pm.
