Senior Cricket League: Division four round-up

TWO batsmen made centuries at Hull Zingari, where an unbeaten 121 by Zingari’s Anthony Knowles just outweighed the 112 of Tom Piercy for Huby, who were ten runs short of the home total when the Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League division four game ended.
There was an even closer draw, with the teams separated by nine runs, as Easingwold gained a slight advantage over Driffield, whose Dan Woodcock made 81.
While batsmen enjoyed the much-improved weather, Yapham bucked the trend by being dismissed for only 34 at Stamford Bridge, whose T Smith (5-18) and A Slaughter (4-10) wrapped up a 119-run victory.
J Pollick had a fine game for Bolton Percy, who beat Osbaldwick by 106 runs in division six.
He made an undefeated 60 to build on A Ferguson’s 94 as Bolton totalled 212-4. Pollick also claimed 6-31 as Osbaldwick perished for 106.
Neil Aitchison, with 5-29, and James Pullein, who followed his 3-33 with an unbeaten 80, helped Cawood retain the leadership with an eight-wicket triumph over Hornsea.
Harry Attwood hit 130 not out as Pocklington gained an advantage draw in a high-scoring encounter with Thorp Arch.
Andy Main took 5-47 and made 31 as Rowntrees battled to a draw at Woodhouse III, whose Jack Chapman took 6-33.
Alistair Thorpe hit 115 in Hovingham’s draw with Cawood II.
