Senior Cricket League: Mick’s five wickets aren't enough for Dringhouses

VETERAN left-arm spinner Mick Kenyon bagged 5-47 but his Dringhouses side still went down to a 73-run defeat at Hull in division two.

Despite Kenyon’s 16-over stint, Hull were able to make 169-9. Only John Patrick, with 39, showed batting prowess as the York side fell for 96.

All 20 wickets fell in the derby at Thorp Arch, where Tadcaster Magnet won by 90 runs thanks in part to Paul Clark, who made 31 and then took 6-29 in 14 overs.

Mark Richardson supported with the bat in Magnet’s total of 174 all out.

Arch’s Niti Kasana took 4-29 while Gut Whatmore claimed 3-34 and Tom Lawrenson 3-30.

In reply, Chris Magee made 32, but Clark had able support from Ed Day (4-20) to bowl the home side out for 84.

Clifton Alliance II posted 163-8 at York II thanks to Ryan Partington’s 57. However, the hosts eased to a four-wicket win with 4.2 overs to spare.
