NEWLY-PROMOTED Selby Cricket Club are celebrating after retaining their England and Wales Cricket Board Clubmark status.
Chairman Mick Pearce and president Terry Smith are pictured with the certificate, which was awarded after the club met the three-year re-accreditation critieria laid down by the ECB.
Clubmark aims to encourage clubs to draw up a development programme looking at four areas: Duty of Care and Safeguarding Children, The Cricket Programme, Knowing your club and its Community – One Game, and Club Management.
Selby’s first team were promoted to the Hunters York & District Senior League premier division last season, while the second team will ply their trade in division five in 2012.
The Sandhill Lane club’s third team play in division two of the HPH York Vale League.
