Selby claimed the Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League division one crown with a victory over Hull Zingari.

Selby spin duo Steve Precious (6-25) and Josh Jackson (4-31) dismissed Zingari for 105.

Jamie Wheeler (45no) then led Selby to their history-making 12th win of the season.

After four years out of the top bracket, Sheriff Hutton Bridge reclaimed premier division status when they beat Pickering by six wickets.

Jamie Hopper (4-69) and Elliott Cooper (4-44) left Pickering short of par at 167-9. Acting skipper Adam Fisher was unbeaten with 53 when a six-wicket win was sealed.

Acomb’s quest to replace Sheriff Hutton Bridge in second place got off to a shocking start but they recovered from 35-5 to post 140 against Harrogate and the match ended in a tie.

Clifton Alliance climbed out of the bottom two when they beat Bridlington by six wickets at Shipton Road.

John Thornton (5-56) had Bridlington all out for 141 and Ali Wray (42) saw Clifton home.

Dringhouses escaped the division two drop zone with a good draw against York III on the final day.

Dringhouses bowler Mick Kenyon took 6-73 and Tom Storr 3-56 as York made 189. Sam Lingard (41) and Chris Storey (51no) took Dringhouses close but they fell marginally short at 184-6.

Osbaldwick condemned hosts Ripon to relegation with a nine-wicket win. Ripon’s 151-8 was easily surpassed by Osbaldwick thanks to Matt Dunne (66no) and skipper Rob Bispham (48no).

Malton claimed third place by overhauling hosts Tadcaster Magnet’s score of 211-8. Danny Foxton hit 62 in Malt’s reply.
