Thorpe Willoughby Cricket Club held their annual awards with club president Malcolm Brooke praising the sides’ seasons.

Dennis Powell received clubman of the year for helping the club throughout it’s 19-year history.

Next year marks the 20th anniversary of Thorpe and the club hope it will be a special year.

Prize-winners: Evening League side – fielder of the year Andrew Kirk, bowler of the year Michael Smales, batsman of the year Matthew Walker, captain’s player of the year Louis Smith; weekend teams – club highest scorer Andy McEvoy, club young player Khalid Shefta, second team fielder Kris Powell, second team player Danny Crockford, first team fielder Rob Haigh, first team player Nadeem Shefta; clubman Dennis Powell.
