THERE was little change to the Hunters York & District Senior League division one table at the weekend as all of the top three recorded impressive victories.

Simon Webb scored his third century of the season, and his second against Patrington, as leaders Whitkirk won for the sixth week in a row.

There were also half-centuries for Matthew Webb (61) and Mark Murphy (55) as the home side reached 299-6.

The visitors managed to bat 30 overs but could only make 88 before being bowled out, Robert Flynn finishing with the remarkable return of 5-5.

The result means the division’s top side could seal promotion as early as next week if results elsewhere go their way, and if not they need just 42 points from their remaining five games.

Malton & Old Malton stay second after they beat Pocklington by eight wickets.

Michael Linsley took 5-48 and Thomas Bumby 3-2 as the visitors were dismissed for 108, Neal Jackson top scoring with 38.

It then took the home side just 18 overs to reach their target with skipper Shaun Harland finishing 82 not out off just 46 balls which included ten fours and five sixes.

Harrogate kept pace with their promotion rivals thanks to a nine-wicket win away at Osbaldwick.

Oliver Whiteman took 3-25 as the home side were bowled out for 104. Ben Bartlett (37) was the only casualty in a chase which lasted into the 22nd over, with Ben Kempley finishing 51 not out.

An unbeaten 69 from Edward Rosa helped Selby close the gap on fourth place Folkton & Filxton, as the visitors won by three wickets.

Michael Dennis top scored with 58 in a total of 182 for the home side as they were undone by excellent bowling from Michael Smales (4-34) and Joe Romaniw (4-36).

Beverley Town climbed up three places to sixth after beating Sewerby by 49 runs.

Ian Pratt (63no) led the hosts to a total of 185-7, and then three wickets each from Peter Parnaby (3-22) and Gregory Whyley (3-23) sealed their side's third win in as many weeks.

Hornsea came off second best as they hosted east coast rivals Bridlington losing by 87 runs.

Harry Burnhill (76) , Nick Tennant (43), Sam Edmundson (49no) and John Major (56no) helped build the visitors a total of 257-7.

And then Major took 3-18, and Ben Ibsen 4-31 as the hosts could only reach 170 before being bowled out in reply, Paul Clappison the best of a disappointing response with 53.
