DRINGHOUSES remain top of Hunters York & District Senior League Ebor division two following a 94-run win at Malton & Old Malton II.

Batting first, Tom Owen (80), and Sam Lingard (61) led the way to an all-out 236 with Ryan Gaughan taking 3-40.

Owen (3-31) and Lingard (3-58) both added to their batting contributions by assisting Gary Wilson (3-15) bowl out the hosts for 142.

At North Marine Road, Scarborough II’s dip in form continued as visitors Carlton Towers racked up 280-6 – Mark Spetch hitting 79, Jonathan Dilks 77 and skipper Rob Holah 40.

In reply, Charlie Roberts scored 94 as the home side hung on with Carlton’s Holah taking 4-34 to add to his first innings runs, enabling his team to take an incomplete win.

Hemingbrough skipper Tom Collins scored 47 with the bat and took 3-39 but ended up on the wrong end of a 65-run defeat at Acomb II, who led by skipper Dan Littlewood (47), and James Fletcher (49) had totalled a first innings 199 all out.

Martin Pepper bagged 4-51 as Acomb bowled out Hemingbrough for 134.

Skipper Jack Holman top scored with an unbeaten 77 as Yapham (186-5) successfully chased down the 182-8 posted by visiting Londesborough Park.

The latter had James Beavers (59) and Greg Drewery (40) to thank for the bulk of their runs whilst Mike Newhouse took 4-39 for Yapham.

Holman was supported by Ashley Cattle (42) and Martin Pearson (30) as they took maximum points with just two balls to spare.

Ben Horseman (58) top scored for York III (206-8) as they continued their good form with a winning draw at Pickering II (197-8).

Shaun Smith (65) led the run chase, but this was pegged back by Chris Hunter (3-49) and Matthew Wright (3-30) with York taking the winning draw.

Callum Jordan took 5-35 as Clifton Alliance II restricted Heworth II to 148 all out at Elm Park Way.

The bulk of Heworth's runs came from John Draper (48) whilst John Thornton (3-37) gave Jordan useful support.

Visiting Clifton Alliance lost just three wickets as they crossed the line at 154-3 – Jamie Butt (65) top scoring.

Ebor division three leaders Stamford Bridge II had a narrow win in their local derby against Dunnington II.

Batting first, home side Stamford Bridge posted 168-8, thanks in main to Phil Hill (51), Lauren Winfield (46), and Jonny Stevens (32), whilst Jack Spofforth grabbed 3-38 and Josh Tattersall (3-25).

Dunnington (154 all out) fell just 14 runs short despite Josh Tattersall adding 57 to his earlier wickets. For the home side veteran skipper Des Healey bagged 3-39.

Sixteen-year-old Lucas Stephenson (100) hit his second century in as many weeks for Londesborough Park II (134-0) as they cruised to a ten-wicket win against visiting Cawood.

Batting first, the travelling side were reduced to an all-out 129 thanks in main to Jack Sowersby’s 4-9 on his first outing of the season.

Ian Hodson (31) supported youngster Stephenson as they grabbed all the points inside 20 overs.

Despite being bowled out for 134, home side Copmanthorpe went on to beat Goole Town II (112-10) by 22 runs in the clash at Barons Crescent.

Giles Ricks top scored for Copmanthorpe with an unbeaten 43, whilst Goole’s Danny Cooper took 4-49 and Sam Earl 4-21.

Keeper Graham Phillips scored 73 for home side Selby II as they racked up 196-9 against Pocklington II (154 all out).

In the second innings, skipper Daniel Croft top scored with 47 and keeper Andy Inns 26 as Selby’s Kieran Heeley took 4-41 to give his side a 42-run win.

William Phelps scored an unbeaten 125 for Civil Service (250-2) in a high-scoring drawn game at Whitkirk II (270-2).

Several bowler’s figures were dented by both sides as Luke Masey (75), Sean Pickles (67), and Phil Handley (39*) piled on the runs in the first innings, only to see the visitors led by Phelps, Ian Clish (67), and Graeme Sherlock (31) have a good go at chasing down the target.

Brad Murray’s 4-22 helped Ebor division four leaders Drax (102-1) reduce hosts Carlton Towers II to 99 all out.

He was backed up by Stephen Ryan’s unbeaten 44 to guide Drax to full points against their near neighbours.

Mike Furze was unbeaten on 76 as Bolton Percy II posted 228-8 in their home encounter with Heworth IV (167 all out).

Nasir Shefta was unbeaten on 52 as Cawood II closed on 123-9 at home to Woodhouse Grange IV (125-4). Gary Chapple hit 54 for the visitors as they ran out winners by six wickets.

North Duffield sit just one point behind leaders Drax after they racked up 286-8 at Thorp Arch & Boston Spa II (185-8) with Paul Johnson hitting 135, and James Knibb 62.

Rob Williams was unbeaten on 46 as the home side hung on for the draw.
