THERE was a disappointing end to this season's Hunters York & District Senior Cricket League's T20 Blast when a saturated outfield and the threat of further rain caused the abandonment of competition's finals day at Scarborough's North Marine Road ground.

With conditions even unsuitable for a bowl out, and no alternative date available, lots were drawn to determine which club would go on to represent the league in the Natwest Club T20 national competition, and Driffield Town were the winners.

The decision was made not to award the winners' trophy.
