The visitors were all out for just 99, Matthew Hodsdon (4-21) and Nick Kay (3-25) taking the bowling honours.

The hosts lost four wickets in reply but Love steered them to their first win of the season.

Bolton Percy had to settle for a draw at Heworth as the home side’s last-wicket pair denied the visitors.

Goole Town slipped to the foot of the table and are still searching for a first victory after they lost to Driffield Town by eight wickets.

Johnny Anderson (6-45) proved too good for the visiting batsmen, with only Scott Thorpe (64no) able to make an impression as Goole were bowled out for 146.

Unbeaten half-centuries from Richard Grice (58no) and Grant Halder (50no) then guided Driffield Town to a comfortable win.
