WOODHOUSE Grange Cricket Club celebrated a season of success at their annual meeting.

The Sutton-on-Derwent-based club won the York & District Senior League premier division title for the fourth year in a row and lifted the National Village Cup at Lord’s for the third time.

They also won the York Senior and Junior Charity Cups, the Sawkill Cup and the York Senior League President’s Trophy in 2014.

Secretary David Farmer highlighted a talented group of cricketers, fierce commitment and outstanding leadership as the driving force in their successes.

Treasurer Martin Smith reported a good financial year, announcing there were sufficient funds to continue the building of a new second pitch shelter.

The majority of the club’s leaders and committees were re-elected. Michelle Burdett is Grange’s new child welfare officer, while Chris Bilton will be captain and manager of the Pocklington Evening League side.
