BUILDING for the future is a major priority for Woodhouse Grange Cricket Club in 2014.

The Sutton-on-Derwent-based club won the Hunters York & District Senior League premier division title this year under long-serving skipper Steve Burdett. Burdett will continue to lead the first-team, but youngster Andrew Bilton will act as vice-captain in all competitions to increase his leadership experience.

Nick Hadfield will be captain in the National Village Cup and Evening Cup.

Paul Grewer and Matthew Shepherd remain in charge of the second team, but youngster Dan Wilson takes charge of the third team following the resignation of Marcus Smith. Russell Bilton will be vice-captain.

The fourth team will be led by Steve Ainley and Kevin Smith.
