STAMFORD Bridge cricketer Lauren Winfield is heading for the West Indies for this month’s tour with the England women’s squad.
The 23-year-old wicketkeeper- batsman was named in a 14-strong party for a T20 Tri-Series and one-day international series in the Caribbean, starting in Barbados on October 16.
The T20 Tri-Series will see England play New Zealand and hosts West Indies twice each to determine who will contest the final on October 26.
England will then face West Indies in a three-match ODI Series in Trinidad, starting on October 29.
Winfield was named in the England squad for this summer’s successful Ashes series, but was unable to break into the side.
She made her international debut against Pakistan in July.
