CRAYKE dropped to joint-bottom of division one in a rain-ruined week of action in the Pilmoor Evening Cricket League.
Crayke’s home defeat by Sheriff Hutton Bridge in the only match played to a conclusion means they join Easingwold at the foot of the table.
The hosts batted first and made a decent start, reaching 38 through Graeme Dawson (17) and Adam Fairhurst (19) before wickets began to fall to Jamie Hopper (4-14) and Dan Kiernan (2-6). Their final total was 67-7.
Third-placed Bridge replied with 68-1 in less than 12 overs, Robert Speake making 27 not out and M Coyle 26.
In the second division, Huby batted first at Stillington and made 141-5 with Mark Mierzwinski making 51 retired and Chris Cundall 41 not out.
Stillington had reached 69-3 when rain called a halt.
Civil Service were denied by the weather when they were 70-0 chasing Raskelf’s 117-3.
Dringhouses are division two champions.
