Thirsk need only one more point to seal a hat-trick of Pilmoor Evening Cricket League division one titles.
Acomb forfeited the points to the champions-elect after failing to raise a team, while nearest challengers Sheriff Hutton Bridge were beaten by six wickets against Clifton Alliance.
Bridge batted first against Alliance and made 142-6, with useful contributions from Phil Stothard (33), Steve Clipstone (29), Mark Fisher (28) and Adam Fisher (20). Niall Tilsley (2-25) and Alastair Wray (3-20) had the best returns for Clifton.
Wray then made 43 in Clifton’s reply and Jon Gilham made an unbeaten 70, securing the points with a six off the penultimate ball.
Sessay posted 130-3 at Easingwold, skipper Nick Thorne top-scoring with 49 not out and Chris Till making 40. Tommy Langstaff (40) led Easingwold’s reply, but Karl Carver (4-11) and Craig Easton (2-14) reduced them to 93-9.
Crayke maintained their promotion drive in division two with a last-over win at Sheriff Hutton.
Sheriff batted first and made 151-4, thanks to Rich Ainley (51 ret) and Joel Wilford (55 ret).
Crayke’s reply was led by Jamie Perkins (53 ret) and Peter Carr (51 ret), while Andrew Walker was 23 not out when Crayke reached 152-3.
Stillington remain in contention after winning at Raskelf. Rob Steel (50 ret) provided the basis of Stillington’s 116-6. Raskelf were 86 all out as Karl Simpson took 4-19 and Jack Cartwright claimed 3-11.
Huby reached 102-4 at home to Civil Service, thanks to Steven Piercy (50 ret) and Paul Moore (34).
Civil Service took the points with 104-7 as Pete Noble hit 30 and Alex Ingram made 35.
