LEADERS Easingwold beat Acomb in their top of the table clash in division two of the Pilmoor Evening Cricket League.

Kyle Waite and Paul Skilbeck each reached 50 retired and George Elliott made 27 not out as Easingwold closed on 148-0.

Acomb threatened through Joe Dale, who made 51 retired, and there were contributions of 19 each from Matt Williams and James Fletcher, but the hosts closed on 126-5, with Josh Summerscales taking 3-44.

Sheriff Hutton had a nine-wicket win over Civil Service.

Chris Gartland (2-19), Pete Batley (2-21) and Simon Ganderton (3-17) restricted Service to 92-9. Richard Reynolds then made 52 retired and Geoff Schofield 25 not out as Sheriff won with four overs in hand.

Huby beat Crayke by 53 runs. Max Lord (22), Rob Steel (30), Mark Woodall (24) and Steven Piercy (21) helped Huby to 132-6. Youngster Charlie Wentworth took 3-20. Crayke closed on 79-6. Sam Peel hit 32.

Rowntrees & Huntington ran up 172-1 at Raskelf, thanks to Ian Lenny (51ret), Sam Beales (52ret) and R White (44no). Raskelf’s Richard Brown hit 37, but they made 132-9. Dan Waterworth claimed 4-18.
