CRAYKE'S batting line-up was tested to the full in their York & District Senior Cricket League division one game at Folkton & Flixton.
The home side's youthful attack was impressively led by under-16s player Ben Elvidge, who claimed 4-32, and Nathan Robson, an under-18s recruit from Scarborough Beckett League side Muston who took 3-6.
Valuable runs came from Paul Hutchinson, with 51, and Craig Dodsworth, whose 25 helped the visitors to a third batting point as they totalled 155.
In the home innings, Damon Gormley went for 35 as one of three wickets to fall cheaply.
Rob Lacey, with 29no, and Neil Elvidge, who was unbeaten with 50, steered Flixton home with seven wickets in hand.
Heworth had a convincing win at Beverley thanks to a fine innings by new recruit Shannon Bowen.
After Richard Woodmansey had made 29, former Wold Newton player Bowen compiled an attractive 78 not out as Heworth eased past Beverley's 172-8 for the loss of just four wickets in the penultimate over.
Earlier, Olly Grantham had made 33 and Ian Gilyon had hit 31no for the Norwood Park side, while Mark Bell (3-40) and James Ulliott (4-83) took the bowling plaudits for the visitors.
Seventeen-year-old Matthew Wilks hit 59 as York II became one of the few sides to reach 200 as bowlers dominated on mostly wet wickets.
In fact, the Clifton Park track was probably the driest in the entire league and Sheriff Hutton Bridge's bowlers generally struggled as Wilks, together with Dave Simpson (52) and Andy Kay (37), helped the hosts move to 203-8.
The one exception was spinner Dave Gilbertson, who produced one of his best performances in taking 5-70.
Stamford Bridge fielder Eddie Hull held three catches for the second successive week.
In reply, Paul Oldfield made 32 and Dave Speak 30 as Bridge edged into the comfort zone at 146-5.
However, teenager Richard Love, son of former Yorkshire player Jim Love, took 5-38 and Karl Ahmed claimed 3-25 as Bridge crumbled to defeat.
Five wickets went down for only two runs to give the visitors a total of 148 all out.
