Stamford Bridge batting ace hits form in Foss Evening Cricket League

Paul Milner’s savage 31-ball unbeaten 54 kept Stamford Bridge in pole position for the division title in the Foss Evening Cricket League.
Milner’s innings, including three fours and three sixes, saw the Battle Axes home by eight wickets with 15 balls to spare against Heworth.
Earlier Rich Walton made 35, with three massive sixes, before Dave Chaplin’s leg-spin (3-14) tied Heworth down to 86-7.
York had a comfortable nine-wicket win over Barmby Moor.
Sean Houltham (31) and Andrew Winn (29) gave Barmby a fighting chance with 123-7, Kalum Ahmed taking 3-14 for York. Ian Jarvis then hit a rapid fire unbeaten 91 to see York home by nine wickets with four overs to spare.
Woodhouse Grange remain in third after the Suddaby brothers set up a win over Londesborough Park. Younger brother Chris made 59 as Woodhouse posted 112-6. David then led the attack with 3-24 as Park could only make 79-9 in response.
Ruan Louw picked up 5-19 and youngster Freddie Parry took 3-11 as Pocklington restricted Dunnington to 69-9. Ben Rees then thumped an unbeaten 42 as only 8.3 overs were required to wrap up victory.
