A CHAMPION display earned Woodhouse Grange a 66-run victory over Londesborough Park as the curtain came down on the Foss Evening Cricket League season.
Division one winners Woodhouse made 157-7 from their 18 overs in the Champions vs Champions match against the division two winners, who were restricted to 91-7.
Grange’s Tom Quinn smashed 45 from only 28 balls and James Rudd made an unbeaten 55 from 47 balls. Woodhouse captain Neil Barrett added 30 not out from 24 balls.
Londesborough’s youthful top order was then blown away by an accurate spell from Luke Phillippo (3-11).
Jeremy Stubbins, whose family founded the league in 1954, presented the championship trophies to both captains.
