Londesborough Park were crowned Foss Evening Cricket League division two champions, claiming promotion to the top division after only two seasons back in the competition.
Thixendale were honest in conceding the match to Park due to a lack of players the day before persistent heavy rain caused the rest of the league programme to be swamped.
This left the first division title race still to be decided going into the last round of fixtures. A win for Woodhouse Grange at Wheldrake will make everything academic, but were they to lose, the winners of the Heworth v Barmby Moor clash would likely take the crown.
