THE Foss Evening Cricket League suffered another complete washout due to heavy rain last Tuesday and Wednesday.
The current top two in division one, Osbaldwick and Stamford Bridge, were the first to agree that trying to play was a pointless task with the fixture at The Leyes, already relocated due to Bridge hosting the Yorkshire Seconds, called off on Tuesday evening.
In division two, a dispute over the condition of North Dalton’s ground at Centre House Farm is under investigation by the league committee and as such no points have yet been awarded.
That dropped opponents Bishopthorpe to the foot of the division and if the committee were to find in favour of the home side they would take outright leadership of the second tier.
In division three, Bishop Wilton and Bubwith still sit in the top two, two points clear of Heworth Colts.
