Challenge Cup trips afoot for York rugby league clubs

York Acorn and Heworth amateur rugby league clubs have been handed away draws in qualifying round one of the Challenge Cup.
National Conference division two stragglers Heworth face a tricky tie at division three champions Underbank, with the victors hosting Leeds Met University or Elland in the next round.
Division one title-chasers Acorn go to division two side Normanton, with the winners then hosting Hunslet Old Boys or St Mary’s University.
Opening round ties are to be played on the weekend of October 27-28. Qualifying round two is on November 3-4.
