TWO second half strikes knocked Tadcaster Albion out of the FA Cup.

The Brewers held Ings Lane visitors Boston United with an impressive performance in a goalless first half in the third qualifying round.

However, the Blue Square Bet North side profited from some slack Albion play after the break, with Mark Jones pouncing on a goalkeeping error before Marc Newsham made it 2-0 from the spot.

Adam Bolder’s 73rd minute goal earned Harrogate Town a 3-2 win over Frickley Athletic and a place in the fourth qualifying round.

Town trailed to a third minute James Ghaichem goal at Wetherby Road before Paul Beesley levelled on 15 minutes and then scored again eight minutes later.

Gavin Allott levelled on 27 minutes, but Bolder sealed the win for Town.

Pickering Town conjured a fightback from 2-0 down after 13 minutes to beat Scarborough Athletic 3-2 in the Northern Counties East League premier division in front of a crowd of 648.

James Bennett and Ryan Blott were on target for the Mill Lane visitors, but the Pikes rallied to level at the break with a Liam Salt goal on 36 minutes and a Liam Shepherd effort three minutes before the break.

Former York City winger Shepherd then hit the winner on 59 minutes before Athletic had Robert Hawkes sent off.

In division one, Selby Town led twice before going down 4-2 at Dinnington.

Knaresborough Town are up to 11th after a 1-0 home win over Albion Sports thanks to Seb Carole’s 37th-minute goal.

Harrogate Railway Athletic were trounced 4-0 at home by Lancaster City, whose scorers were Rob Wilson, Tom Kilifin (2) and Billy McKenna.
