Golf day fun and games for Minstermen and supporters

YORK City have confirmed that they will hold an official golf day on July 17 at Forest Park Golf Club.

The event will be sponsored and supported by the club’s management and players, who will all be assigned with a team before socialising in the club house afterwards. There will be prizes for the leading teams, as well as for nearest the pin on a number of holes.

A major prize will also be on offer for anybody managing a hole in one on a pre-selected hole.

Further details will be issued early in 2013.

Meanwhile, City skipper Chris Smith will be joined by Jon Challinor and John McReady for Pocklington Minstermen’s next monthly meeting on Thursday.

The trio will be guest speakers at the event, which will be hosted in Pocklington Town ’s sports and social club on The Balk.

Admission is free for a 7.30 pm start with doors open from 7pm.
