Another six hit for King William while Celtic go one better
Table-toppers King William took their goal tally to 24 in three Ian’s Cars of Barlby Sunday Morning League division one games by beating Enterprise 6-2.
Luke Hall twice gave William the lead, and, although they were cancelled out by Carl Stewart and Matty Brown, a brace from Matty Bastock plus strikes from Neil Ducey and Gary Newton gave the leaders the spoils.
Division two leaders Hambleton raced into a 5-1 half-time lead at Marcia Grey, a first-minute free-kick by Kane Snelson sending them on their way.
Matty Prosser, Eddie Neate and Ian Huddleston (2) also netted, with Lee Harris getting the riposte. Dan Smith made it 6-1 half-way through the second period before Harris scored his second.
York Medics, with goals from Rick Burn, Matt Fortnam and substitute Taylor Messenger, beat York Nomads 3-1.
Huntington Rovers , the front-runners in division four, remain unbeaten after dispatching visitors LNER Builders 8-2 with hat-tricks from Pete Webster and Danny Franks, plus strikes from Arron Rose and Chris Dyson. Andy Sykes and Ben Walsh replied.
York Five Lions, with first-half goals from Danny Atkinson, Chris Elliker, Will Moore and Luke Laverack, beat York RI 4-2 to keep the pressure on the leaders, Jake Moyse hitting both replies.
Brayton thumped bottom side Marcia Bishopthorpe 5-0 with braces from Matty Curotto and Michael Davison plus a Rob Guest strike.
Albion Vaults beat Bishopthorpe United by the same score.
Kingsley Wetherald led the way with four goals as Tadcaster Magnets made it three wins in a row by beating F3 7-0. Jon Darnton, Ben Wilson and Daryl Carter completed the scoring.
NUR came 1-0 down at the break to beat New Earswick 3-1 and preserve their unbeaten start. Danny Cotton, with a penalty, Jordan Burnitt and Cotton, with his second, turned the game around.
Braces from Joe Smyth and James Burton, plus strikes from Jordan Wiloughby and Andrew Simpson, saw Britannia Tadcaster beat Barlby 6-1.
Drax hammered York Phoenix 11-2 with goals from Neil Harrison (4), Jorden Bradshaw (3), Paul Carey, Ian Blythan and an own goal, Steve Lorraines and Stuart Jones hitting Phoenix’s replies.
Selby Railway were 9-1 winners over basement side Shoulder of Mutton. Pete Hollingshead hit four and Janos Takacs two, with Danny Oxtoby, Joe Ratcliffe and Kris Walls also on target.
St John’s claimed their first points after beating Eggborough Rangers 4-1 with goals from Lee Winslow (2), Sam Burton and Angus Jones. John Nurden bagged Rangers’ consolation.
