St Clement’s lose 7-0 at Church Fenton

EARLY division one pacemakers St Clement’s were brought crashing back to reality after a 7-0 hiding at promoted Church Fenton.
The White Horse side opened their account in style with their tally shared between Alex Sykes, John Langrick (2), Lenny Mason (2), Ali Cope and Adam Beavers.
Pocklington are the new leaders after they chalked up their third win on the trot, their latest success a 5-0 drubbing of Hemingbrough with goals from Dave O'Connor, Chris Day, Tom Reay and Andy Anderson (2).
Aviva maintained their unbeaten start with a comfortable 5-0 home win over Tockwith – Tom Shirley, Adam Osgudthorpe, Warren Lowe, Geoff Pinkney and Mark Benton on target.
Total Sports collected their first win of the season, toppling Amotherby 2-1.
Michael Lindsay cancelled out Amos Laverack’s opening goal for the visitors before Ben Brannigan came off the bench to seal the win. Haxby ended a run of 24 games without a win to beat hosts Wilberfoss 3-1.
Matty Burrows gave Foss the lead before the break but Rowan Todd levelled before goals from James Gilbertson and Stuart Baker secured their first win for just over a year.
Newly-promoted Fulford remain unbeaten in division two following their 3-0 home win over Thorpe. Jordan Siswick, Dan Pepper and Sam Harrison – scoring for the third game on the spin – were the marksmen.
Strensall top the table on goal difference, which was improved after a 5-1 home win over Heworth , which included a Jack Wilson hat-trick and a Danny Mason brace.
Stamford Bridge raced into a two-goal lead at Cliffe through Luke Tipping and Darren Branden. Goals either side of the break from Lee Carter restored parity before Nick Rank scored twice late on for the visitors to triumph 4-2.
