A superb seven-goal haul from star striker Danny Gray helped King William to a stunning 12-3 Ian’s Cars of Barlby Sunday Morning League division one win over Severus.

Joining Gray on the score-sheet were Neil Ducey with a hat-trick, Gary Newton and Luke Hall.

Carl Stewart hit a sweet volley to send Enterprise into the lead at Wiggington only to see it cancelled out by a fine strike from Matty Tiplady.

Stewart then hit a second and Chaz Wrigley a third to give the away side a 3-1 half time lead.

Wigginton briefly threatened after the restart when Dan Zambelli struck his third goal in as many games, but Stewart completed his hat-trick and Wrigley got his second to give Enterprise an unassailable 5-2 lead before Michael Clancy came off the bench and grabbed a late consolation.

Beeswing stay top of division two despite going down 5-2 at home to York Medics.

Wing led 2-1 at the break through Andy Watkinson and Paul Crangle, Luke Thornton replying. But the visitors hit back with a Greg Chambers hat-trick and a Matty Nelson strike.

Marcia Grey’s 16-year-old Alex Day scored the fastest goal of the day when he hit the target after only 25 seconds in their 5-3 victory against Haxby Lions.

York Nomads, with a hat-trick from Jamie Lawrence, plus a Tom Young brace and a Grant Dunnington strike, beat Derwent United 6-1. Dan Fogg replied.

In division three, Huntington Rovers beat Albion Vaults for a third win on the spin thanks to Tom Flint and Pete Webster goals.

Selby Olympia brushed aside hosts York RI 4-0 courtesy of strikes from Luke Lambert (2), Ian Brehenney and George Wojcik.

Bishopthorpe United can claim bragging rights after beating village rivals Marcia 4-1.

Sam Cowley gave Marcia the lead with a first-half hit but goals from Noel Harrison, Matty Howden, Andy Manns and James Fedyszyn in the last ten minutes saw United take the points.

There were goals galore in the fourth Division with FC Barlby leading the way after hammering Walnut Tree 17-0.

Louis Blackwell top scored with four, Lee Carter and Tom Wright hit hat-tricks, and there were two-goal hauls from Marco Puliga, Steve Wilks and Rich Sowden to add to a solo effort by Graham Benson.

Danny Cotton hit half of NUR’S 8-1 tally at St John’s. Liam Wake, Paul Fletcher, Neil Oldridge and Matty Rockett also scored. The lone reply from the students was bagged by Olly Clegg.
