York City boss Mills in rallying call
YORK City manager Gary Mills is confident his players will bounce back from last night’s 3-1 defeat at Burton Albion.
The Minstermen went down to goals from Lee Bell, Calvin Zola and Matt Paterson at the Pirelli Stadium despite taking a tenth-minute lead through Paddy McLaughlin.
But the loss represented only City’s second reverse of the npower League Two campaign and Mills was in no mood for critcism at the final whistle.
He said: “We have lost a game but my players have been magnificent this season so we just have to take it on the chin and bounce back on Saturday at home to Cheltenham. I know this squad of players will go out and do that.
“We have had two draws and that’s fine when you back it up with a win but we have lost and now we will have to make sure we don’t make it four without a win."
Mills confirmed Clarke Carlisle will miss the Cheltenham game after being carried off from the first-half action last night with an ankle problem.
But on-loan Leeds left-back Charlie Taylor will be hoping for a recall after being left out of last night’s squad.
