Bowls: Wwigginton look for new players

Wigginton are looking for new players ahead of their first-ever season in the York Amateur Bowling Association Evening League campaign in 2013.

Secretary Colin Ellis, pictured, will captain the thriving club’s new team and is asking for anyone interested in signing to phone him on 01904 760877 or email colin.ellis23@talktalk.net.

Wigginton’s annual dinner and prize presentation evening will be at New Earswick Indoor Bowls Club in Huntington Road on Saturday, October 13, while their annual general meeting takes place at Wigginton Recreation Hall on Monday, October 29, from 7.30pm.

Officials are also planning to stage a Christmas coffee morning at Haxby Memorial Hall on Saturday, December 8, from 10am.
