Sponsorship deal for Marcia Grey FC

Acomb -based York Sunday Morning Football League team Marcia Grey FC have secured a two-year sponsorship deal with York law firm Pattinson & Brewer, writes Alex Finnis.

Team manager and club secretary Andy Day was ‘over the moon’ with the new support package, stressing the difficulty of finding such sponsorship for a club of its size.

“I have been working with the club for 14 of its 15 years in existence and it’s extremely difficult to get financial support for basics like kit and team strip,” said the Marcia Grey manager.

“Pattinson & Brewer’s help will inject new enthusiasm into our lads.”

Pattinson Brewer partner Jane Radcliffe was equally excited about the new partnership with Marcia Grey, praising the team manager’s enthusiasm.

She said: “Andy Day has been our Bridge Street office ‘postie’ for years and his cheerful positive approach has so impressed us that when he said he was looking for support for his worthy local cause, we couldn’t say no.”
