Huntington trounce Bishop Wilton York FA Saturday Junior Cup

NINE-MAN Bishop Wilton were trounced 20-0 at home by Huntington in the preliminary round of the York FA Saturday Junior Cup, writes Barry Casterton.

Huntington’s reward is a first round tie away to reigning reserve ‘A’ champions Dunnington Reserves, who beat Copmanthorpe Reserves 2-1.

Dunnington broke the deadlock on 12 minutes when a Rob Hart pass was slotted home from 15 yards by Oliver Ellwood.

The visitors extended their lead with a 46th-minute penalty before Stuart Auton scored a consolation for Copmanthorpe on 75 minutes.

Strensall Reserves won 6-0 at Huby United Reserves with goals from Joe Wilkinson, Danny Morrison, Jamie Lawrence (2) and Martin Stone (2).

I though the ref was very biased. He even wanted to change shirts with one of the Wilton lads at full time!
